We arrived back to school after our half-term holiday and there was a beautiful carpet of gold, orange, brown and red leaves that had fallen from the trees in the forest – autumn had arrived. In our English lessons we have been learning about adjectives and how they make sentences so much more interesting to read. We decided to write some autumn poems using lots of describing words. This was a fantastic opportunity to have great fun outside in the forest. We ran around, kicking and jumping in the crunchy leaves. We all decided that autumn is a fabulous season and when you throw the leaves up in the air, it looks like leaves are falling like rain. We all collected piles of leaves and tossed them up in the air - it was so exciting!
